The Last Tycoon becomes available today on Blu-ray, DVD and digital (video-on-demand, electronic sell-through, and streaming). The film is based (probably very loosely) on real life Chinese gangster Cheng Daqi, not on F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel, which in 1976 was made into a film directed Elia Kazan and starring Robert De Niro. Because this Last Tycoon covers a period of more than thirty-five years, the character is played by two actors. Xiaoming Huang (The Banquet, Ip Man 2: Legend of the Grandmaster, The Guillotines) portrays Daqi as a youth, while Chow Yun-Fat (who needs no introduction) serves as the older, middle-aged version.

My Top 5 Favorite Manga
Recently I have told you about my favorite anime series and now I would to tell you about my favorite manga. You see, the anime series are usually meant for a wider audience, so many-many times they actually change the story arc of the characters to make it kid-friendly. There are several that I grew up on and then later found out that the manga is about twenty times harsher and sadder - but at the same time also more compelling. It's like they gave me an adult story with the characters I grew up with and it simple added a little extra to it. I really love to read manga, but I decided to tell you about only five because these have a special place in my heart still and they all mark a certain period in my life. Let's get down to it, shall we?

Otakon 2013 Anime Mirai Interview
This is an interview with Tachikawa Yuzuru and Suwa Michihiko, both of whom are involved with the Anime Mirai project, an annual Japanese government-funded program to help teach young animators the skills they need to improve Japan's animation industry. Tachikawa is the director of one such Anime Mirai-funded work, Death Billiards. Suwa is better known as the producer for works including Detective Conan, Magic Knight Rayearth, and City Hunter, and is part of the Anime Mirai selection committee.

Owning a very ordinary name, let alone a mediocre, just like any other film exploring the emotional relationships within a family. However, Crazy. Stupid. Love is not as simple as people often think about the movie at first glance. Cinematographic works to a depth of aftershocks, strong in mind anyone ever look at it. Because people will see them in every frame of this picture. Crazy. Stupid. Love does not describe a love unilateral particular, that it is the totality of the relationship stick together, stick together and complement each other to turn itself into a perfect them. The break in the chain to the end of the film series was suddenly healed, and then, love (love) is not a stupid (stupid) again, leaving the frantic passion (Crazy ).
